My greatest success

I established the NDI connection from TouchDesigner to Unreal very easily. I thought it was pretty seamless to get TouchDesigner input into Unreal.

My worst struggle

I have no idea how to get my projection to render in Unreal. I can see that the NDI is coming into it, but I don’t know remotely how to get the projector object to pass my video in the demo scene.

I’m sure I missed some key step that Louise pointed out. I should have paid attention more at the end of class, reached out, and been on the ball about this sooner.

But I’m sure this is a quick fix/check box in Unreal. Which is one reason why Unreal Engine is so frustrating.

Do’s

• Follow and remix great tutorials
• Look to classmates’ homework for how they debugged
• Reach out for help

Don’ts

• Use NYU wifi for NDI
• Wait too long to ask questions
• Look at Blueprints in Unreal if you don’t have to
